I drive through national park for twenty minutes each morning on the way to work. There are gorgeous trees, now starting to shift into spring mode here, water, birds, rocks, beaches, rivers. I am always focused on getting to work and while I notice what I am driving through, I don’t stop. Yesterday as part of ‘The August Break‘, for the first time on this drive, I stopped to see and took some early morning shots by the water’s edge. I will be stopping to see more on the way to work and elsewhere.
How beautiful! The last photo has such a misty/ethereal quality. I also drive along a beautiful route on the way to work – through a gorgeous rural area near the river. I keep telling myself I need to stop more often, enjoy the scenery, and take some pics. Hmmm…I’ll give it a shot tomorrow on the way in š
I love that last one too! How hard does it seem to stop, even if for a short time – hope you get to do so soon!
I love this post Terri. In my last job I had a wonderful daily trip towards the North Pennines. I loved driving through and watching the changes of the seasons. There were spots where I would love to have got out and taken a photograph. Unfortunately the road was narrow and dangerous with farm vehicles coming around blind corners so it was difficult to do.
Thanks Carol! Yes some of my drive is like that too but good when you can find a safe spot and some special moments š
Stunning!!! What a beautiful drive you must have seeing this each morning~
It’s hard to choose a favorite. I love them all! Indeed you are fortunate to have such a lovely commute.
Yes I am lucky but amazing how long it took to stop and see rather than just drive on through!
